ON 6 October, sanitation and clearing of debris were carried out at schools, hospitals, clinics, departmental buildings, roads, bridges, wards, villages including the removal of trees and branches left behind, in in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, with participation of Tatmadaw members, Myanmar Police Force members, firefighters, Red Cross brigade members and social worker rescue groups in cooperation with the local people.

Commander of the Eastern Command Maj-Gen Zaw Min Latt and officials visited Biluchaung No 2 Hydropower Plant in Lawpita, Kayah State ysterday morning and inspected the flood conditions, water inundation conditions in the plant, and the condition of the machinery in the control room.

The security forces and ethnic people observed the conditions of making barriers with sandbags to reduce the inflow of water, the conditions of pumping out the water entering the power plant with water pumps, the conditions of making the water diversion frame with machines, and supported the ethnic people with rice, noodles and food. At No 1 hydropower plant, the commander inspected the conditions of electricity transmission from the control room, the condition of the machines, diversion of water and fulfilled the necessary needs.

Furthermore, officials manage installation of bailey bridges in the places of damaged facilities affected by floods.
