SAC Member Mahn Nyein Maung, accompanied by Ayeyawady Region Chief Minister U Tin Maung Win and other regional government officials, conducted inspections of the disaster-affected areas near Phaungseik village in Hinthada Township yesterday morning.

The team examined the conditions of the landslide and erosion in the region before visiting the villages in the Zarapkwin village-tract, including Thangantaw village and Ward 3 of Laymyethna Township and providing support for the ongoing household registration process.

Later, the SAC member and his team arrived at the site of flood prevention efforts at the Stumukha Htupayon Pagoda in Laymyethna Township to review the implementation of protective measures and donate financial support for these initiatives.

Additionally, the group assessed the household registration process in Thabawkone Village, Ngathainggyoung Township and observed the agrarian work of farmers, including the use of machinery to cultivate Shinthuka rice on 5.85 acres owned by farmer U Aung Myo Htet in Kyaukchaung village.

During a meeting at the sports hall in Kyonpyaw, the SAC member urged the public to actively participate and cooperate with relevant organizations for the benefit of regional stability.

The regional chief minister followed up with remarks, and together with SAC Member Mahn Nyein Maung and officials, they provided assistance to farmers from Kyonpyaw, Yekyi, and Kyaunggon townships, supplying seeds and fertilizers to support their farming activities.

Furthermore, the SAC member inspected the cultivation of GW-11 rice on 3.5 acres by farmer U Sein Maung in Ywathitkon village, Kyonpyaw Township and provided support to other farmers facing crop losses, including U Aung Myo Than, who lost 17 acres, and U Min Min Oo, who lost 10 acres, as they used drum seeders for replanting efforts.
