THE Myitta Athinchay group, which includes members from the film arts community, donated food, beverages and cash to the relevant flood relief and resettlement supervisory offices for the flood-stricken people in Kalaw Township, Shan State, on 2 October, according to actor Moe Pyae Pyae Maung.

The charity group performed music performances for the people impacted by the flood, gave words of encouragement, and donated money and foodstuffs through relevant flood relief and resettlement supervisory offices.

“As for me, I feel sorry for them. They are my fans, and it is also the place where I performed. That’s why I gathered donations for them along with Pwint Nadi Maung. Actors Sit Naing, Norman, Kyi Win, Pauk Si, Sat Htoo Thit, May Than Nu, Pwint Nadi Maung, and May Lang also participated, personally donating and offering words of encouragement,” said actor Moe Pyae Pyae Maung.

The group provided K23 million worth of aid, including K17 million in cash, as well as 100 rice sacks, 50 sets of blankets, pillows, and mosquito nets. Additionally, they donated rice, cooking oil, and salt, including 11 sets of foodstuffs for 30 households, over 370 backpacks, schoolbooks, pens, rulers, zip packs, 1,200 large blankets, and drinking water, totalling K6 million.
