REPORTS of a drone bombing by the Tatmadaw that supposedly injured three people, including an eight-monthold child, and damaged a pagoda and residential homes in Kyauk Gyi Township, Bago Region, have been found to be false. Malicious news media have been disseminating these erroneous reports.

According to local security forces, they are working with the community to ensure regional security and law enforcement. During their operations, insurgents attacked security personnel with drones, resulting in bombs falling on civilian homes. Some security personnel were injured, and several civilians were hurt or killed in the attacks.

The local populace has denounced the brutal actions of these insurgents and is aware that such false reports are being spread to cover up the insurgents’ actions. The community has expressed their awareness of these malicious news outlets and their attempts to mislead the public.
