COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF (Air) General Tun Aung met General Soeung Samnang of the Royal Cambodian Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Punpakdee Pattanakul of Thailand and Brigadier General Bounma Chanthavongsa on behalf of the Chief of the Lao Air Force, on 15 September during the visit to attend the 21st ASEAN Air Chiefs Conference (21st AACC).

During the meeting, they cordially discussed bilateral cooperation in education and training sectors between air forces, joint exercises for natural disaster prevention and close collaboration in humanitarian assistance and preventive measures against disaster.

On 16 September, the General attended the 21st AACC at Sokha Siem Reap Resorts and Convention Centre in Siem Reap. The ASEAN Air chiefs discussed the topic of “Enhancing Information Sharing and Cohesive Cooperation Among ASEAN Air Forces For Peace and Development” and approved the decisions.

The General and party attended the dinner hosted by the Cambodian Air Chief on the night of 17 September. The General and party arrived back in Yangon yesterday evening.
