ACCORDING to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Myanmar participated in a meeting of the ASEAN Committee in Washington (ACW) with the Australian ambassador to the United States, held at the Malaysian Embassy in Washington of the US on 26 August.

 This meeting was part of ACW activities organized by the Committee. The ambassador of Timor-Leste to the United States and the Director of Multilateral Affairs from the East Asia Pacific Bureau of the US Department of State attended the event.

During the working lunch, members of the ASEAN Committee in Washington exchanged views with the Australian ambassador on various topics, including ASEAN-Australia Dialogue Relations, developments in the Indo-Pacific Region, geopolitical manoeuvres, and the economic prospects of the region.
