MYANMAR National Human Rights Commission is striving for promoting public awareness of human rights through the provision of information and education by all means as much as possible under Section 22 (a) of the Myanmar National Human Rights Commission Law and is also gearing itself up for the activities of the human rights promotion and education on the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Dr Than Myint and Dr Tin Maung Maung Than, the Commissioners, gave lectures on human rights at the Management Course No 21 for Senior Level Officials held at the Civil Service Academy (Lower Myanmar) on 22 May 2023 from 8 am to 3:50 pm. In doing so, Commissioner Dr Than Myint gave the lectures on Human Rights Concept, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and the Establishment of the Myanmar National Human Rights Commission and its activities. Commissioner Dr Tin Maung Maung Than also delivered lectures on State Obligation and Public Responsibilities, the United Nations Human Rights Mechanism and Universal Periodic Review (UPR). Afterwards, the lecturers answered the questions asked by the trainees. A total of 48 directors from the departments have been attending as trainees on the above-mentioned course.
