Review good results of education conference for future State

THE Second Myanmar Education Conference 2024, themed “To Further Promote Education, to Develop Human Resources,” will take place at the Myanmar International Convention Centre-II (MICC-II) in Nay Pyi Taw from 25 to 27 June. This threeday event aims to ensure the success of the education sector being implemented for the youth who will eventually take on the responsibilities of the State.

The conference’s objectives include fostering patriotism among youth, producing well-educated individuals, promoting vocational education to support manufacturing, enhancing teachers’ capabilities, improving research and innovation, and strengthening the education system to guarantee quality for the youth.

Reflecting on the previous conference, some initiatives have been completed with accomplishment, while others are ongoing. This year’s conference will involve discussions to review and refine educational outcomes and conditions for future generations. It is crucial to evaluate the work procedures of the previous conference, as implemented by relevant ministries, to maintain and build on past successes through both short- and long-term plans.

Since its establishment, the State Administration Council has been focusing on the enhancement of the nation’s education standards. The government has prioritized creating learning opportunities for all school-age children, implementing the KG+9 educational scheme as a compulsory learning plan, establishing basic education plus industrial, agriculture, and livestock high schools, inaugurating Naypyitaw State Academy, providing administrative allowances and cash assistance, conducting capacity enhancement courses, improving literacy rates, and fostering a reading culture. The outcomes of the 2024 education conference are expected to contribute significantly to the nation’s educational development. The government aims to further advance the country’s education, health, and social sectors beyond their current state. To this end, necessary resources have been allocated for the successful implementation of relevant initiatives. It is essential for each ministry to take responsibility for achieving success in their respective sectors in order to enhance education standards.

Today’s children are the future adults of the nation. Those future adults must be well-qualified and highly capable in their fields. If so, they will be crucial for the prospects of the entire country to serve the nation’s interests effectively and sustain its development. As such, the government and authorities must be ready to pass on a positive legacy to future generations. Moreover, individuals need to create a proper learning environment for new generations. Consequently, Myanmar’s development will be sustained through the efforts of well-educated and skilled individuals.
