1. China on its part temporarily closed Muse-Kyinsankyawt and Muse-Wamting border trade gates on 8 July 2021 because of finding the COVID-19 virus.

2. China also temporarily closed the Laukkai-Ranlonkeng border trade gate on 7 April 2021 due to repairing Ranlonkeng Bridge in the Laukkai region and the Chin-shwehaw border trade post on 18 April 2021 because of finding the COVID-19 virus.

3. At a time when border trade gates are temporarily closed, relevant departments will give a helping hand to those from cargo trucks to return home and unloading of commodities at the warehouses at their arriving sites.

4. During the period when land border trade in Muse, Laukkai and Chinshwehaw are temporarily closed, cargo trucks from Mandalay 16th-mile gate to the border gates in Lashio-Muse, Lashio-Chinshwehaw, Lashio-Laukkai regions to export goods to China will be scrutinized and barred as of 7 am on 11 July 2021 to order them to return to the original areas with the aim of easing the traffic congestion of cargo trucks leading to China.

5. As such, those from highway cargo trucks are urged not to leave their base areas. The 16th-mile checkpoint will scrutinize and allow them to do domestic trade.
