DEPUTY Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win met with General Bipin Rawat, Chief of Defence Staff at the temporary lounge of the Indian Chief of Army Staff at the DefExpo India-2020 on 6 February.


During the meeting, they discussed promoting the existing friendship and collaboration of the armed forces of the two countries for peace and stability in border areas. After the meeting, Myanmar Tatmadaw delegation observed the exhibitions of the strategic and tactical weapon systems, defence equipment and technologies developed by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) at the DefExpo 2020.


Next, the delegation visited the Army Canteen Store of the Indian Army Central Command and Chairman of the Canteen Colonel AVS Pawan Kumar showed the exhibitions and explained their work process.


The Army Canteen Stores sell electronics, baby utensils, clothes, foods and beverages at resonable price to former service members, military officers and lower ranks and their family members. There are a total of 3901 Army Canteen Stores in India and they are selling 5300 items of utensils and household products to 12 million customers, according to the news released by the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services.
