VICE President U Henry Van Thio received Ambassador of the Republic of Korea Mr Lee Sang-hwa at the diplomatic hall of the Presidential Palace in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

During the meeting, they discussed matters related to promoting bilateral cooperation between Myanmar and South Korea, promotion of bilateral trade and investment, strengthening friendship between the peoples of the two nations, tourism sector development and cultural cooperation, and sending Myanmar delegation of high-ranking officials to the World Summit on Peace, Security and Human Development in South Korea.

Also present at the meeting were Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs U Soe Han and officials.
