Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing yesterday afternoon inspected rescue, relief and rehabilitation measures for the earthquake victims in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area.

He viewed round repair of quake-affected damaged roads in towns for temporary use in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area by car.

At the Paunglaung People’s Sports Ground in Pyinmana Township, the Senior General asked officials about accommodation for the people, supply of water and electricity and toilet facilities. In his guidance, he stressed the need to open a temporary hospital and relief camp in the sports ground to provide medical treatment for the injured people. Moreover, it is necessary to arrange mobile hospitals and mobile operation theatres. In addition to ensuring water and power supply for the convenience of victims, officials need to issue tents and mobile toilets for them. Arrangements must be made for those from the damaged staff housings to nearby sports grounds as their accommodation.

On arrival at Nay Pyi Taw Stadium of the Sports and Physical Education Department in Shwekyapin Ward of Union Territory, the Senior General asked officials about accommodation, water and electricity supply and use of toilets. He also met with injured people who are receiving medical treatment at the temporary hospital run by the Ministry of Health at the gymnasium and asked about their injuries and health progress.

The Senior General instructed officials to arrange convenience of the patients in water and electricity supply and administrative measures, send the mobile operation theatre and medical officers from the Tatmadaw for medical treatment of the injured, accommodate medical teams from foreign countries, and provide medical treatment together with the foreign medical squads.
