Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by senior Tatmadaw officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, yesterday morning, inspected medical treatment provided for civilians, service personnel, Tatmadaw members and families who sustained injuries in the earthquake at the Trauma and Orthopaedic Ward of the Defence Services General Hospital in Nay Pyi Taw.

The Senior General cordially met the patients individually and asked about the conditions of injuries and the progress of health conditions. He also comforted and presented cash awards to them. The Senior General instructed the Director of Medical Services and officials to constantly monitor the health conditions of the patients to provide necessary treatment and arrange for them to have convenient accommodation, food and administrative measures.

The Defence Services General Hospital in Nay Pyi Taw provided necessary medical treatment to some 600 patients including civilians, State service personnel, Tatmadaw members and families who sustained injuries in the earthquake and managed emergency surgical operations on 30 persons. At present, the hospital admits 42 injured civilians, State service personnel, Tatmadaw members and families with necessary healthcare services.
