Due to the powerful Mandalay earthquake on 28 March, a total of 6,730 mobile communication base stations were damaged. Thanks to the restoration efforts of mobile operators, 5,999 stations had been successfully repaired as of 6 April. Nationwide, only 731 stations remain in need of repair — 62 belonging to MPT, 237 to Atom, 164 to Ooredoo, and 268 to Mytel.

Although 15 post offices under Myanma Post were temporarily closed due to the earthquake, operations had resumed as normal by 31 March. Postal services at the central post offices in Nay Pyi Taw and Mandalay have also returned to regular operation.

Among the many damages caused by the severe earthquake, the quick restoration of electricity and communication services, along with the prompt construction and placement of temporary shelters, have been particularly notable achievements. These quick wins have been widely recognized and appreciated by both the general public and civil servants, who have expressed gratitude towards the government and responsible personnel.
