KBZ Bank Limited has been actively carrying out emergency relief efforts in the earthquake-affected areas of Taunggyi, Shwenyaung, Aungban, and Inlay in southern Shan State. Staff from various KBZ Bank branches have been providing immediate relief assistance in response to urgent needs.
A team from KBZ Bank, led by Patron U Aung Ko Win, visited the affected areas immediately after the earthquake. They assessed the damage in Taunggyi, particularly in the mini-bus station in Thittaw Ward, where large rocks had fallen, destroying residential and commercial buildings. The team provided financial assistance of K500,000 to each injured individual.
Additionally, the KBZ team visited Shwenyaung Station Hospital, where they donated aid to doctors, medical staff, and pregnant women. In Aungban, they contributed K10,000,000, along with meal packs and essential emergency supplies, to the rescue team at Hotel Aungban.
Similarly, the team also travelled to the Inlay region in Shan State (South), where they provided necessary relief and assistance promptly.
