The Myanmar Women Entrepreneurs Association (MWEA) Central and MWEA Mandalay jointly contributed cash and earthquake relief supplies to its members and residents in Mandalay.

MWEA Central and MWEA Mandalay donated K600,000 each to 28 members whose houses, shops and workshops were destroyed by the earthquake, totalling K16.8 million.

Moreover, MWEA supported K2 million to Orthopedic Hospital Mandalay, K300,000 to Arhawkayama Monastery, K2.7 million for medicine supplies to Byamaso Philanthropic Organization, K300,000 and plastic mat to Myawady Nunnery, K1.5 million worth food supplies to 300 earthquake victims and monks at a monastery near Taguntine Roundabout and 54 plastic mats and 10 solar light lamps to civil servants of the government housing of the Ministry of Industry.

The MWEA’s donations are planned to further reach those affected by the earthquake in Mandalay and Amara cities.
