According to Pacific AA Foundation and Roche Myanmar, a total of 192 donors, including members of Pacific AA Foundation, Roche Myanmar, and other contributors, donated blood at the National Blood Bank to support those affected by the recent major earthquake in Mandalay. Monetary donations were also made on this occasion.

It was also reported that Mr Daniel Derzic, Head of Mission for Switzerland in Myanmar, and staff from the Swiss Embassy personally participated in the blood donation drive.

During the event, Mr Daniel Derzic gave brief remarks about the significance of blood donation. Professor Dr Thida Aung spoke about the establishment of the blood bank and expressed thanks to all donors. Ms Christina Yong from Roche Myanmar also delivered words of appreciation.

Additionally, Chairman U Zaw Moe Khaing of the Pacific AA Foundation and Vice-Chair Dr Saw Nay Nwe donated K5 million to the National Blood Bank. The donation was formally presented to Professor Dr L Htoo Pe.

All participating staff and donors received Feropac iron supplements (192 bottles), as well as breakfast and lunch.
