1. During the opening ceremony of the archway l in celebration of Kayah State Day at the state hall in Loikaw on 15 January (Sunday), some terrorists opened fire using heavy weapons, killing an innocent civilian. It was heartbreaking to learn that the six students who were happily participating in the event, some security personnel and two people were injured.

2. As it is clear that this action was aimed at destroying the commemorative ceremony of the local ethnic groups, as well as the intention to cause death and injury to innocent people, the Myanmar Art and Sculpture Association (Central) condemns the terrorists who carried out this terrorist act.
