THE 75th Anniversary (Diamond) Jubilee Independence Day commemorative booths, traditional food booths of ethnic nationals and decorated floated were exhibited for the fifth and final day in the Tabaung Ground near Uppatasanti Pagoda in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
Those booths were crowded with visitors from regions and states as yesterday was the final day for the exhibition. The visitors purchased traditional foods of ethnic national, clothes, handiworks and rare traditional medicines as well as souvenirs.
Visitors enjoyed songs and music presented by relevant ethnic cultural troupes and martial arts presentation in front of the decorated floats representing regions and states.
Booths of ministries and regions and states including domestic foodstuff booths sold more than K50 million worth of traditional foods and more than K10 million worth of souvenirs of ethnics, domestic products and traditional costumes on a daily basis, and stocks run out.
News and Periodicals Enterprise informed the people about reading daily newspapers online whereas Sarpay Beikman mobile book shop sells fiction and non-fiction books to the visitors. Artistes from the Fine Arts Department and ethnic choral dance troupes performed entertainment to the people at night.
For the time being, members of Myanmar Police Force together with the Tatmadaw members and health staff give security and health services to the visitors.
In the afternoon, Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council U Tin Oo Lwin and deputy ministers and council members viewed round the booths and decorated floats which were exhibited from 4 to 8 January.
