STATE Peace Talks Team held the second-day meeting with the Shan State Progress Party-SSPP at the meeting hall of the Nation­al Solidarity and Peacemaking Centre in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.

The event was attended by State Administration Coun­cil member Union Minister at the Union Government Office (1) Chairman of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee Leader of the State Peace Talks Team Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, SAC Member Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun, Secre­tary of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee Lt-Gen Min Naung and Vice-Chairman (1) Sao Khur Tai, Vice-Chairman (2) Sao Khun Seng and Central Committee Member Sao Naw Leik from the SSPP delegation.

At the second-day meeting, National Solidarity and Peace­making Negotiation Committee Member Lt-Gen Win Bo Shein presented the opinion of the committee in relation to the points that the group of politi­cal parties wants to amend the 2008 Constitution. Afterwards, both parties discussed peace and development matters and signed the agreements resulted in three days of negotiations.

Then, SSPP Vice-Chairman (2) Sao Khun Seng and State Peace Talks Team Leader Lt- Gen Yar Pyae gave concluding remarks and presented books of the Diamond Jubilee Union Day published by the Ministry of Information, record books, My­anmar Encyclopaedia volume 1 and gifts.
