The Meteorology and Hydrology Department and the Acid Deposition Monitoring Network in East Asia (EANET) are jointly organizing a two-day workshop titled ‘National Awareness Workshop on Acid Deposition and Other Related Atmospheric Pollutions’, at the Hotel Royal Aster in Nay Pyi Taw.

Union Minister for Transport and Communications U Thant Sin Maung made an opening remark and Secretary of EANET Mr Tomi Haryadi extended a greeting on the first day of workshop yesterday.

At the workshop, the EANET’s experts and invited guests discussed the ongoing activities of the network, acid depositions and air pollutions resulted by climate changes, atmospheric pollutions in regional countries, results and findings from monitoring process, prevailing challenges and reduction of air pollutions.
