MORE than 210,000 stimulant tablets worth over K2.39 billion were seized in Thazi and Mayangon townships, according to the Myanmar Police Force.
A combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force made inspections near the Kywetatson checkpoint on the Meiktila-Taunggyi Road, Thazi Township, Mandalay Region, at 6:30 pm on 31 March and officials stopped and searched a Toyota Alphard vehicle driven by Wai Paing Oo accompanied by his wife Ma Nann Mue Kaytha, Saw Aung Lwin Oo (alias) Aung Lwin Oo and Bo Bo Naing.
According to the report, 585,000 tablets of ecstasy were confiscated from the vehicle.
According to the revelation, a Toyota Kluger vehicle with 1.52 million tablets of ecstasy was seized from a house owned by Yar Par (alias) Ko Ko Maung on Myintzu Road, Mayangon Township, at 11 am on 1 April.
Another Toyota Landcruiser vehicle was confiscated together with 2.105 million stimulant tablets worth over K2.39 billion in a house owned by Wai Paing Oo and Ma Nann Mue Kaytha in No (89) Ward on Kanaung Minthagyi Road, Dagon Myothit (Seikkan) Township.
They are prosecuted, and perpetrators are being investigated.
