A combined team of anti-drug police force conducted inspections on Yarpyae 7th Road, Myeik (South) Ward, Yarpyae Quarter in Myeik Township at 7:30 pm on 22 March.

Officials stopped and searched a motorcycle driven by Myo Min Oo on the Yarpyae 7th Road and seized 20,000 tablets of ecstasy.

At 5:30 pm the same day, a combined team consisting of the Shan State police force conducted inspections in Tachilek. A search of a man named Arlaung near the bus stop in Ponetun Ward turned up 4,000 tablets of ecstasy. Similarly, a combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force made a search in MyoU Ward, Maungtaw Township and 39,390 tablets of ecstasy were seized during a raid on the house of Noor Ilslam at noon on 23 March.

At 1:20 pm the same day, a combined team of anti-drug police made inspections in Meinpang “Wa” ward, Hopang Township. A search of the house of Nyi Htan turned up 2,400 ecstasy tablets.

They are prosecuted under the Law Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
