UNION Minister for Border Affairs LtGen Tun Tun Naung, together with Mon State Minister for Security and Border Affairs Col Nay Htut Oo, inspected the completion of repaved Wekali-Aaingshay Road, in Wekali village-tract, Thanbyuzayat Township, Mon State, on the afternoon of 18 March.

During the inspection, Mon State Development Supervisor and Engineers-in-charge were instructed to improve drainage in order to maintain the long-term sustainability of the road. The Wekali-Aaingshay Road is contributing a lot to the development and socio-economic life of more than 1,700 people in Wekali village and Aaingshay Road.  

Afterwards, the Union Minister and party arrived at the Basic Education Middle School (branch) situated on the road in Aaingshay village, asked about the needs of the school during the meeting with the headmistress and teachers, and coordinated to provide needs for student halls, computers, solar panels and related accessories.  

Afterwards, the Union Minister and party visited the Women’s Vocational Training School in Mudon and fulfilled necessary requirements. The Union Minister and party arrived at the Mon State Development Supervision Office in Mawlamyine on 19 March. Yesterday, the Union Minister inspected the Kyaikmaraw Township Development Supervision Office and the staff housing.
