THE second day of the Seed Fair 2022 organized by the Department of Agriculture under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation was held at the Institute of Agriculture in Pyinmana Township yesterday.

There was a total of 35 booths featuring rice, pulses and beans, edible crops, vegetables, fruit seeds and seedlings produced from the research farms and seed farms of the departments under the ministry, including the booths of the Myanmar Seed Association and seed companies.

The farmers, those who are interested in agriculture, representatives of seed companies from regions and states including Nay Pyi Taw and students of the Institute of Agriculture visited the fair.

Moreover, the fair also organized talks under the topic of using quality seeds for socio-economic growth, seminars for farmers and educative programmes for farming based on techniques.

The Seed Fair 2022 was held aiming to develop the use of quality seeds and provide the socio-economic status of the country with a high production rate using quality seeds.

The Seed Fair 2022 will be held for five days from 18 to 22 February and the farmers will have a chance to study the seeds that conform with their farmlands and grab agricultural knowledge.
