UNION Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Soe Htut, State Administration Council member, currently in Mandalay, met civil servants from Mandalay Region General Administration Department, administrators from townships and wards in Mandalay district at the meeting hall of the Mandalay Region Administration Council office yesterday afternoon.

At first, U Myint Lwin, the commissioner of Mandalay Region, clarified the department’s progress with the help of PowerPoint, and those present put forward reports on administrative matters to be fulfilled. After hearing the reports, the Union Minister gave directions to necessary tasks.

Similarly, Dr Nyunt Pe, Union Minister for Education, met district education officers, township education officers and school heads from Mandalay Region at the meeting hall of No 16 Basic Education High School in Chanayethazan Township.

The Union minister explained the reopening of schools mentioning that CDM teachers can get back to work. Then he attends to the needs after hearing the reports.

Likewise, Dr Thet Khaing Win, Union Minister for Health and Sports, met officials from 550-bed children’s hospital and 300-bed teaching hospital in Chanayethazan Township.

The  Union  minister  urged  officials  and  staff  to  carry  out  healthcare  tasks  in  full  swing  and follow the rules of civil servants.

He also mentioned that actions  would  be  taken  against  those  threatening  the  health  workers  not  to  go  to  work  and  inspected the construction site to extend the 550-bed children’s hospital. 

Similarly, U Maung Maung Ohn, Union Minister for Hotels and  Tourism,  visited  Pullman  Hotel and inspected preparatory tasks  for  reopening  the  hotel  according  to  the  directives  is-sued by the ministry. The Union minister gave necessary instructions after being conducted by the officials inside the hotel. The hotel has 368 rooms where national-level ceremo-nies, international ceremonies and meetings can be held on a grand scale.
