A total of 433 bags of rice and 978 viss of cooking oil, provided by the National Disaster Management Committee, were distributed yesterday morning at the City Hall of Falam to government employees serving in Falam and residents of the eight wards: Farhtauk, Cinmul, Talanlo, Valai, Laizo, Lailun, Lonpi and Zalai.

Deputy Minister for Border Affairs Maj-Gen Kyaw Swa Oo attended the event and provided the relief items to the locals. Moreover, he inspected the healthcare services at the outpatient department of the temporary public hospital of Falam, and sale of fish, meat and vegetables at the municipal market in Bline ward, and also distributed rice to the people.

The temporary public hospital in Falam, located at the city hall in Farhtauk Ward, has been operating since 11 May 2026, with two doctors and 82 healthcare workers. As of today, the hospital has provided medical treatment to a total of 1,750 patients.
