THE Myanmar Gems and Jewellery Exhibition will be held from 22 to 25 July in the Jiegao border trade zone in Ruili, Dehong Prefecture in Yunnan Province of China, under the cooperation of the Chinese and Myanmar governments. Yunnan-based news outlets reported that all products at the exhibition are original gemstones sourced directly from Myanmar, with traceable origins and quality guarantees.

The exhibition will adopt an integrated online and offline trading system, with transactions conducted in Chinese yuan. Traders will also benefit from import duty exemptions, western region development policies, and the preferential tax incentives available under Jiegao’s “Five Freedoms and Five Reductions” policy, helping to reduce business costs.

Myanmar’s Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation and the Yunnan Provincial Government of China signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Kunming, Yunnan Province on 24 February 2026 to jointly organize the Myanmar Gems and Jewellery Exhibition at the Jiegao Border Trade Zone in Ruili, Dehong Prefecture, Yunnan Province.
