The second-day session of the fifth plenary meeting of the Ninth 47-members State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee continued yesterday at the Wizaya Mingala Dhamma Thabin Hall on Thiri Mingala Kaba Aye Hill in Yangon.

The session was attended by members of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee, led by the Presiding Nayaka Sayadaw of Thanlyin Min Kyaung Pahtamapyan Monastery, Abhidhajamaha Rattha Guru Aggamaha Pandita Aggamaha Saddhammajotikadhaja Dr Bhaddanta Candima Bhivamsa, Union Minister for Religious Affairs U Tin Oo Lwin, and other relevant officials.

During the first session, the Sayadaws presented reports on Vinicchaya, religious affairs, and monastic education. They also discussed Vinicchaya matters before concluding the morning session.

The second session began at 1 pm, during which the Sayadaws discussed Vinicchaya and other religious matters.

The committee also approved the report on the activities of the Third Subcommittee of the Ninth State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee during its first term of office. Joint Secretary Aggamaha Pandita Bhaddanta Vilasa Bhivamsa presented the report. The second-day session of the fifth plenary meeting concluded successfully in the afternoon.

The members of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee attending the meeting were offered their daily alms by devotees led by Sayadaw Bhaddanta Manita (Maha Saddhammajotikadhaja) of Kyaikkasan Weluwun Shwegyin Monastery in Thingangyun Township.
