DEPUTY Minister for Foreign Affairs U Ko Ko Kyaw received Mr Abhay Thakur, Ambassador of India at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

They cordially exchanged views on matters relating to the promotion of the existing friendly relations between the two countries in particular on the implementation of the outcomes of the Myanmar President’s recent Official Visit to India.

They also discussed the progress of ongoing development projects including the Kaladan Multi-Modal Transport Project as well as cooperation on matters of mutual interest at both regional and international arena. Furthermore, their discussion covered the provision of capacity-building programmes to Myanmar including Members of Parliament and on further enhancing cooperation in Myanmar’s peace process.
