UNION Minister for Education Dr Chaw Chaw Sein received Indian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Abhay Thakur at the meeting room of the Ministry of Education in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.

They discussed the longterm assignment of English language teachers from India to designated universities in Myanmar, the plans for 30 teachers to attend short-term English proficiency courses at Indian universities, and the awarding of scholarships to teachers from education degree colleges.

Deputy Minister Dr Zaw Myint and other officials were also present at the meeting.
