UNION Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win received Mr Tariq Karim, Ambassador of Pakistan to Myanmar, at the Ministry of Health in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.

They exchanged views on enhancing cooperation in the health sector between the two countries, experiences by sending medical experts, collaborating in medical research, academic cooperation between the two medical universities, importing pharmaceuticals and surgical equipment from Pakistan, and investing in building pharmaceutical factories in Myanmar.

The meeting was attended by the deputy minister and directors-general from the Ministry of Health, and representatives from the Embassy of Pakistan.
