Union Minister for Electricity and Energy U Ko Ko Lwin received Russian Economic Counsellor Mr Andrei Iunak in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

They discussed matters related to the implementation of issues discussed during the Union minister’s visit to the Russian Federation in the second week of April. They also exchanged views on preparations to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation and Myanmar’s Ministry of Electricity and Energy for cooperation and the provision of training programmes aimed at developing human resources, and enhancing cooperation between the two countries in the electricity and energy sectors.
