Dr Wah Wah Maung, Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, received the delegation led by Mr Andrei Anisimov, Deputy Managing Director of Sberbank Branch in India, “Sberbank” PJSC of the Russian Federation, at Office 1, Nay Pyi Taw, in the afternoon of 3 March 2026.

Both sides cordially discussed and exchanged views on the payment facilitation for trade and investment between Myanmar and the Russian Federation, financial transaction methods, investment opportunity and technical matters for the development of the financial sector.

The meeting was also attended by high-level officials from the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, and responsible officials from the Embassy of the Russian Federation to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
