Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and State Security and Peace Commission Chairman Senior General Min Aung Hlaing yesterday evening paid homage to the Shwehsandaw Pagoda in Pyay, Bago Region.

The Senior General and his wife enjoyed the sunset scenic beauties of Pyay after visiting the pagoda.

The Senior General and his wife, together with his entourage, offered flowers and water to the pagoda.

An official reported to the Senior General on the arrangement of the pagoda digital directory online website at the Buddha Museum of the pagoda. The Senior General stressed that historical evidence of the pagoda must be firm in the presentation on the online website. Photographs must be suitable for the current era, and these must be quality.

The Senior General viewed round Buddha images cast in successive eras and historical evidence.

The Senior General donated cash to the fund for the overall renovation of the pagoda to the pagoda board of trustees.

Moreover, the Senior General, his wife and entourage viewed around the sale of traditional foodstuffs at the shops of the Khittaya night market along the Strand Road in Pyay and cordially greeted vendors and consumers.

The Senior General gave guidance on needs to carry out the beautification process along the Strand Road and the systematic arrangement for the car park.
