IN an effort to strengthen the cooperation in the tourism industry between Myanmar and Sri Lanka, the business delegation led by the Sri Lankan ambassador had a meeting with the Union of Myanmar Travel Association (UMTA).
By the invitation of the Embassy of Sri Lanka, the meeting was held a few days ago, aiming to strengthen the bilateral cooperation in the tourism sector and explore new business opportunities reciprocally beneficial for the two countries.
The two parties discussed the travel sector development, the networking of airlines, encouraging the tourist arrival increased and establishing business cooperation. UMTA said it believes the meeting will be a good foundation for enhancing cooperation in the travel sector of Myanmar and Sri Lanka.
UMTA said it will continue working on international cooperation for the development of the tourism industry.
