The reopening ceremony of Lashio University was held yesterday morning at the university in Lashio, Shan State (North). The ceremony was attended by Brig-Gen Aye Min Oo, Commander of the NorthEast Command, together with state government ministers, departmental officials, faculty members, students, and invitees.

The commander and officials first cut the ceremonial ribbon to inaugurate the archway of Lashio University and sprinkled scented water on the university signboard. They then observed students in their classes and offered words of encouragement. Afterwards, they inspected the renovation of the classrooms and addressed the necessary requirements.

The commander and officials also visited Lashio Education Degree College, where they observed learning of students and toured the classrooms.
