U Min Zaw, Secretary of the Social Economic Promotion Party, sent a presentation manuscript on policy, stance and work procedures of their party through the Union Election Commission. The full text of the presentation manuscript is as follows: -

On behalf of the Social Economic Promotion Party, we would like to first express our special thanks to the leaders of the State and the Chairman and officials of the Union Election Commission for arranging the opportunity for our party to present the policies and work procedures to the people.

Our Social Economic Promotion Party will compete in constituencies of Mandalay Region in the genuine, disciplined multiparty democratic general election to be held in 2025. As our party was born together with the people, we share equally with the people the social, economic, and political tensions currently affecting the entire nation. Hence, if the people trustfully join hands with our party to serve their interests, we will take these responsibilities while setting aside our self-interest. I would like to present the definition of the party’s title.

It is true that all of us, as human beings, are facing social, economic, and political difficulties. Our party chose the name Social Economic Promotion Party (S.E.P.P.) with the desire to address these difficulties and to improve the social, economic, and political conditions of the people. Although our original aim was to compete nationwide, due to certain circumstances, we were only able to participate in one region, Mandalay Region. We would like to inform the parents and the public in advance that in future elections, we intend to operate on a nationwide scale.

I will continue my presentation on the logo, policy, vision and mottos of our Social Economic Promotion Party.

With regard to the colours of the logo of our party are:

The party logo primarily represents four colours and depicts, within its logo, human beings coming together with the aim of building a modern and developed new nation.

Purple — represents dignity, profundity, uniqueness, and positive imagination.

Red — represents strength, courage, and bravery.

Yellow – represents happiness and flourishing of religion and faith.

Green — represents peace, development, vitality, and health.

Along with the symbolic meanings of these colours, it signifies that all citizens, united in spirit and solidarity, will enjoy equal rights, and that the party will take a leading role in implementing the national cause with collective strength and unity.

In presenting the policies of the party –

We will prioritize seeking the attitude and aspiration of the ethnic people based on the national unity to implement the rights of citizens for them to have full rights in multiple sectors, including health, education, social and economic activities.

Objectives and visions of the party are: -

Ensuring job opportunities and a secure basic income for everyone. Establishing a genuine, well-disciplined multiparty democratic system and a people’s government.

Ensuring that candidates chosen by the party truly reflect the people’s elected representatives. Mottos of the party are: -

The people’s government must be the people.

The power of the people must be owned by the people. Votes of the people must be given to the people.

The party must always be for the people, and the people must not be for the party.

All ethnic people are aware that the current political difficulties in the country are not caused solely by internal issues but also involve interference and influence from foreign countries. Our party believes that, since our nation is home to many ethnic groups living together, it would be most appropriate to address these challenges through political means to achieve a durable peace.

In conclusion, I would like to urge all national brethren to help ensure the stability and peace of the Union of Myanmar by casting their votes in the multiparty democratic general election of 2025, and we present the message: “Vote for S.E.P.P. to improve the lives of the people”.
