Under the guidance of the Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission of the Republic of the Union Myanmar and Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, a study tour to the People’s Republic of China, which has been underway since 13 October and includes outstanding young students who excelled in the 2024–2025 matriculation examination, children of current and former Tatmadaw members, and Tatmadaw members who passed with honours, returned to Yangon International Airport yesterday morning, where they were welcomed by Brig-Gen Tun Tun Oo, Deputy Commander of the Yangon Command, senior military officers, U Aung Ye Win, Head of Department of the Union of Myanmar Economic Holdings Public Co Ltd, officials, and the students’ parents and relatives.

During their visit to the People’s Republic of China, the study group, which included outstanding young students and Tatmadaw members, toured Tian Tan Park and Tiananmen Square in Beijing on 14 October and paid homage to the Buddha’s Tooth Relic at Lingguang Temple. On 15 October, they explored the Great Wall of Beijing, the Summer Palace, and the Olympic venues, toured the city, and enjoyed the evening scenery. Similarly, on 16 October, the group travelled from Beijing to Tianjin by bullet train and then flew from Tianjin Airport to Guangzhou on Southern China Airlines. Upon arrival in Guangzhou, they studied the operations of Good Chain subsidiaries. On the morning of 17 October, they visited Ji Nan University in Guangzhou, touring its history, library, and academic departments, while university officials answered students’ questions and provided explanations. In the afternoon, the study group toured the city of Guangzhou, and in the evening, they visited and explored the Guangzhou Tower.
