AUNG Thiri Film Production donated K1 million for the 105th Myanmar Motion Pictures Day and the 48th Homage-paying Ceremony to Veteran Artistes, which will be held on 13 October. The donation was made by U Thein Shwe from Aung Thiri Film Production on 9 September, according to Vice-Chair U Aye Kyuu Lay of the Myanmar Motion Pictures Organization (MMPO).

The 105th Myanmar Motion Pictures Day and the 48th Homage-paying Ceremony to Veteran Artistes will be held at the Myanmar Motion Pictures Organization (Central) on Wingaba Road, Bahan Township, Yangon Region, on 13 October 2025. Artistes and well-wishers have been making contributions to the upcoming event.

“The Homage-paying Ceremony to Veteran Artistes is held every year without fail on Myanmar Motion Pictures Day. This year, it will also be held on 13 October as usual. Academy Khant Si Thu, Saung Eindray Htun, Htoo Khant Kyaw family, and others have contributed. At present, the exact number of veteran artistes is being reviewed, as some have passed away while new ones have joined the list,” said U Aye Kyuu Lay.
