Authorities have seized 420 kilogrammes of Ice (methamphetamine) worth approximately K3.36 billion in Mongpyin Township, Shan State (East), according to the Myanmar Police Force.

The seizure took place at around 10 pm on 30 August near Nayonk village in Mongpyin Township. Police searched a Toyota Kluger travelling from Metmung to Mongpyin, driven by Sai Oo Thila (aka) Sai Ywek, and recovered 420 kilogrammes of Ice (methamphetamine) valued at K3.36 billion.

According to investigators, the offenders transported the drugs from near Takawlay village in Matmung Township to near Nayonk village in Mongpyin Township.

Authorities have taken legal action against the arrested individuals and are continuing investigations to uncover further links in the drug trafficking network.
