The signing ceremony for Cooperation in the Global South Joint Communication Partnership Programme between the Myanmar Narrative Think Tank and Xinhua News Agency was held yesterday morning at the meeting hall of the Division of Research and Information (Yangon) on Pansodan Street, Kyauktada Township, Yangon.

At the event, Chairman U Ko Ko of the Myanmar Narrative Think Tank delivered an address, stressing that the cooperation aims to strengthen people-to-people relations, serve as a communication bridge to deepen understanding among societies, promote solidarity, and nurture hopes for peace, prosperity, and long-term sustainable development.

Afterwards, Mr Zhang Dongqiang, Chief of Xinhua News Agency Yangon Bureau, also delivered a speech. Then, the chairman of the Myanmar Narrative Think Tank and the chief of the Xinhua Yangon Bureau signed the memorandum of understanding for the cooperation programme.

Officials from the Myanmar Narrative Think Tank, representatives from Xinhua News Agency, and guests attended the ceremony. Through this cooperation, the programme intends not only to contribute to Myanmar’s development but also to enhance the image of Myanmar internationally.
