Union Minister for Commerce U Chit Swe met a delegation led by Egyptian Ambassador to Myanmar Mrs Aya Saad Mohamed Abdelkarim at the meeting hall in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.

They discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral ties, expand market access for Myanmar’s key exports, including agricultural products, and organize trade fairs between the two countries, inviting businesspeople to promote the export of Egyptian pharmaceutical and hospital equipment, petroleum products, electricity distribution and installation equipment, and chemicals, as well as the import of construction materials. They also discussed enhancing cooperation in the economic and trade sectors between the private sectors of both countries.

The meeting was attended by the permanent secretary and other officials from the Ministry of Commerce.
