The Ministry of Industry organized the MSME Day 2025 in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
First Vice-Chairman of the MSME Development Work Committee Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Planning and Finance U Win Shein, Union Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than, Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe, Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr Myo Thein Kyaw, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo, deputy ministers, departmental officials and MSES entrepreneurs attended the ceremony.
In his speech, the Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the role of MSMEs that occupy over 90 per cent of businesses, creating job opportunities ranging from 60 to 70 per cent. He stated the need to utilize a digital system that can help promote work processes, expand the local and international market, and accelerate the services and competitions.
He then pledged support for the government for MSME development in the country.
The video clip on the MSME Products Exhibition and Competition was screened, and he observed the MSME products of the Union Territory (Nay Pyi Taw).
The relevant officials reported on the work progress and participated in a paper reading session.
