As of 24 June, a total of 3,766 fatalities, 5,104 injuries, and 40 missing persons have been reported in six regions and states of Myanmar that were severely affected by the powerful earthquake which struck on 28 March.

The Myanmar Fire Services Department, along with local and international search and rescue teams, has been conducting emergency operations in the affected areas promptly. To date, 653 survivors have been rescued from beneath collapsed buildings, and 844 deceased persons have been recovered.

Further announcements will continue to be released regarding ongoing donations of cash and relief supplies from generous donors both within Myanmar and abroad to support the people affected by the disaster.
