Members from various organizations joining hands with residents actively participated in the rehabilitation operations in the quake-affected areas in some townships of Mandalay and Sagaing regions yesterday.

They voluntarily carried out the clearing of debris at collapsed religious and public buildings as well as school buildings, and the demolition of dangerous buildings with the use of heavy machinery and their concerted efforts.

Moreover, they participated in the supply of water with the use of water purifiers for members of the Sangha, nuns and people while taking part in repairs and renovation of damaged buildings to have their original states.

Lt-Gen Thet Pon, Lt-Gen Myo Moe Aung and Lt-Gen Soe Tint Naing from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and Commander of Central Command Brig-Gen Kyaw Ko Htaik inspected the progress of rehabilitation measures and preparations to hold the matriculation examination 2025 for the students in TadaU, Chanayethazan, Aungmyethazan, Kyaukse, Singaing, and Madaya townships on their inspection tours.

They gave words of encouragement to those students and presented foodstuffs to teachers and students.
