Deputy Minister for Science and Technology Dr Aung Zeya, who is currently in Sochi, Russia, to attend the Fifth Sochi Biosecurity Conference, attended the agendas of the conference together with the BWC officials of other countries on 10 June.

During Session 1, Adviser Ms Elena Shamal of the Compliance and Integrity Systems (CIS) and Department of Humanitarian Cooperation, General Political and Social Problems served as moderator, and the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), (Compliance and Integrity Systems (CIS), The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and biosecurity measures of ASEAN and African Union, and the deputy minister discussed the further cooperation in biosecurity measures.

In the evening, the deputy minister joined the dinner hosted by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mr Sergey Ryabkov.
