RELEVANT organizations and residents tirelessly participate in rescue and rehabilitation operations at earthquake-affected areas.

Lt-Gen Myo Moe Aung from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) attended a ceremony to seek advice of Ovadacariya Sayadaws of Mahamuni Buddha Image Board of Trustees for renovation of damaged and collapsed buildings in the precinct of the image in Chanmyathazi Township yesterday.

Ovadacariya Sayadaws and Lt-Gen Myo Moe Aung inspeced maintenance of the Gandakuti chamber, reconstruction of the seven-tiered building in its original state and conditions of the treasury of the image.

Lt-Gen Myo Moe Aung also visited No 16 Basic Education High School in Chanayethazan Township and BEHS No 1 in Aungmyaythazan Township and observed preparations to open the schools for 2025-26 academic year, teaching students to retake the matriculation examination at the camps and enrolment activities of students at the schools.

Lt-Gen Soe Tint Naing from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) looked into clearing of dangerous public houses in Yanmyolon Ward of Chanayethazan Township. Lt-Gen Myo Thant Naing from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) attended the talk show on construction of buildings with resilience of earthquake for residents at BEHS in Hanmyintmo Village of Kyaukse Township and discussed ways and procedures to reconstruct the buildings, use of quality products and consultation with experts. He also inspected construction of a temporary building at BEPS in Kathesu Village of Singaing Township.

While in Kyaukse, Lt-Gen Myo Thant Naing inspected production of cement at Double Rhinos cement plant of Myanmar Thantawmyat Co Ltd, repairing of the second production line, repairing of Hsinmin cement plant and Alpha cement plant.
