MYANMAR’S Permanent Representative to ASEAN U Aung Myo Myint participated in the Jakarta Forum on ASEAN-China Relations on 1 November, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the forum, opening remarks were made by the Secretary-General of ASEAN, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to ASEAN, and the Permanent Representative of Malaysia to ASEAN, who serves as the country coordinator for ASEAN-China Dialogue Relations.

The theme of the Jakarta Forum was “Bridging and Bonding by Connectivity”, aligning with the designation of 2024 as the ASEAN-China Year of People-to-People Exchanges. The forum aimed to facilitate discussions on strengthening ties between ASEAN and China, as well as promoting inclusive development among all ASEAN member nations.
