ACCORDING to the Myanmar Red Cross Society, Red Cross brigade members from northern and southern Shan State, under the leadership of the Shan State (South) Supervisory Committee, have been providing timely assistance to those affected by floods.

On 23 September, Red Cross members, along with staff from the rural health centre, provided healthcare services to flood victims at a mobile clinic in Hsison village. They also distributed carbolic soap, electrolyte powder, clothes, and sanitary pads.

Similarly, on 22 September, teams of Red Cross volunteers, alongside social organizations, local elders, and well-wishers, donated rice, cooking oil, medicine, salt, ready-to-eat meals, snacks, instant noodles, purified drinking water, blankets, clothing, and financial aid to flood victims in Kalaw and Shwenyaung Townships.

Additionally, the volunteers visited flood victims in temporary shelters in Inntain and Nangpan villages in Nyaungshwe Township, where they distributed purified water, instant noodles, clothes, and snacks.
